Acme’s actual 30th Birthday is rapidly approaching this May and we have tons of activities planned now!
The first starts on Tuesday, April 16th at 5:15 PM at the Melvin Municipal Building in downtown Greensboro! Acme Comics will officially be honored by the Greensboro City Council for serving our community and its love of comics & literacy for 30 continuous years!
Jermaine and Stephen spend the better part of an hour talking to East of West and Avengers writer Jonathan Hickman about collection price-point theory, building Earth’s Mightiest Heroes towards Marvel’s newest event this summer, and scribing a Disney’s the Black Hole sequel!
Then Jermaine, Stephen, Griffin and Jody eulogize the late, great Carmine Infantino, highlight conflct in Sean Howe’s Marvel Comics: the Untold Story prose history, figure out Wha’s Up With That in this week’s new releases, and make some rock-solid DVD recommendations!
Energy for comic books, graphic novels, action figures, and statues has been super strong this holiday season. Some items are gone for good, but many more cool things remain!
